There are no known safety concerns associated with using stainless steel water bottles. The plastics in recyclable plastic water bottles are thought to be a health risk, they have been linked to harmful chemicals that are emitted from these bottles, and the associated chemicals have been associated with causing cancer. What Is The Best Water Bottle For Men?

How Long Is Water Good In A Stainless Steel Bottle?

We recommend not storing water in a drink bottle for more than a couple of days. If water is clean, and the stainless steel drink bottle is sterile, than in theory, the water could definitely stay good for months, even longer for the most sterile and pure of situations. 

But, it’s not often that a used stainless steel water bottle with be completely sterile, nor will the water going into it, so a couple of days is fine. Be sure to clean your bottle regularly to avoid bacteria growth and have the healthiest water possible.

Can You Put Coffee In A Stainless Steel Water Bottle?

The best thing about stainless steel drink bottles is that they are suitable for using with a wide range of drinks and liquids. Because stainless steel doesn’t leach flavour or chemicals nor will it absorb odour or colour it’s perfect for coffee on the go. Our Koh Stainless Steel drink bottles can definitely be used for hot drinks, whether it’s tea or coffee. They keep both hot and cold drinks for 12 hours plus.

How Do You Sterilise Steel Water Bottles?

Stainless steel water bottles are easy to disinfect. To disinfect your stainless steel drink bottle the natural way, baking soda or vinegar are a great option.

To sterilise your drink bottle with baking soda: add a teaspoon of baking soda to your bottle and add warm water. Give it a shake, then allow it to soak for 20 minutes before rinsing very well.

To sterilise your drink bottle with vinegar: Fill your drink bottle half way with vinegar, and the other half should be topped up with warm water. Give it a swish around and leave it to sit anywhere from an hour to overnight. Vinegar is a mild but safe acid which is perfect for cutting through grease and grime, but also for sterilising.

Can You Put Ice In An Insulated Water Bottle

Adding ice to your insulated water bottle is one of the best ways to keep your drinks perfectly cold. Double walled, insulated water bottles help to keep your drinks cold for up to 24 hours. By using vacuum insulation the best way to keep your drink cold is if it starts off that way.

Placing your water bottle into the fridge or freezer won’t really help, but if you have ice cubes on hand, then yes! Drop some into your drink bottle for all-day refreshment.
