Story behind the art
Every design is an original work by a First Nations artist who receives royalties on each sale. Domica Hill, a Pakana woman, created three of the four: Kookaburra Dreaming, a kookaburra watching over the meeting places and ceremonies on Country; Spirit Being, a Galah guiding your journey with rest stops along the way; and Luina – The Blue Wren, telling the Tasmanian story of a small bird gifted a crown of blue for its courage. Jacinta-rai Ridgeway-Maahs painted Tree of Life — the journey of all we were, are, and will be, tied always to Country. Koh Living is a proud member of the Indigenous Art Code.
