Meet the Artists Behind Your Coasters

Every coaster design includes artwork by Indigenous artists, combining cultural depth with visual impact. Each artist receives ethical licensing and fair royalties for their contributions.

Annette Nungala

Born at Neutral Junction Station between Alice Springs and Tennant Creek, Annette was raised immersed in community life. She later became a language and culture educator at Epenarra School and now manages the Epenarra Art Centre. Annette’s art uses heavy dot‑work and vivid patchwork colours. She exaggerates the textures of rock country around her home to create dream‑like, abstract landscapes. Her familiar theme of Bush Medicine reflects renewal after rain, with stones and seeds represented through intricate dots.

Domica Hill

Domica Hill is a Pakana woman from Tasmania whose work is deeply influenced by her heritage and personal journey. She often uses floral and avian motifs, blending contemporary colours and patterns with traditional symbolism. Her art reflects themes of loss, healing, ancestry, and nature. Domica’s imagery carries emotional weight and ritual significance, evoking connection, resilience, and the cycle of life.

Michelle Possum

Michelle Possum Nungurrayi, daughter of Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, offers deeply cultural work rooted in Papunya Tula traditions. She uses layered dot patterns and classic iconography to map Dreaming stories and sacred Country elements from an aerial perspective.

Khatija Possum

Khatija Possum is a second-generation artist continuing a respected family legacy. Her work incorporates intricate dot work, strong geometric composition, and contemporary colour palettes. She weaves ancestral symbols into balanced, modern layouts that feel both culturally grounded and visually bold.

Jacinta‑rai Ridgeway‑Maahs

A Worimi woman based in Queensland, Jacinta blends circular motifs, soft earth tones, and patterned linework to explore themes of community, journey, and connection. Her artwork feels grounded, reflective, and organically structured.

Melanie Hava

Melanie draws on both Mamu and Austrian heritage to merge rainforest, reef, and emu imagery into her art. She uses bold colour, flowing shapes, and symbolic repetition to celebrate kinship and connection to Country. Her work bridges cultural perspectives with aesthetic harmony.

Pammy Foster

Pammy Foster is a Waramungu and Alyawarr woman, born in Tennant Creek and raised between Ampilatwatja and Wutunugurra (Epenarra). She paints with deep attention to her Country, focusing on wildflowers, insects, bush medicine, and landscape motifs. Her technique involves layering colour and building texture via detailed brush strokes and repetition—resulting in expressive compositions full of energy and cultural resonance.
