    All Dreamtime Symphony Design Stories

    Our Spirit Being

This piece represents our spirit being in the form of a Galah. Birds are very important to Aboriginal people and are often seen as totemic ancestors and spirit beings. The painting shows a Galah perched up on the branch of a flowering gum. There is a path/track running through the middle of the piece with many meeting places and rest stops. This represents your journey with the spirit being looking out for you along the way.

    Kookaburra Dreaming

This piece shows a Kookaburra sitting in a Gum Tree
looking out over all the meeting spots on country. He looks over the ceremonies and healing that takes place here and watches as the community come together in celebration.

    Luina- The Blue Wren

This piece represents the Tasmanian Aboriginal story of Dromerdeene who, while seeking reconciliation with his brother Moihernee, is attacked by Moihernee's beasts. A tiny grey bird
valiantly tries to protect Dromerdeene but is thrown against a tree. A bright star rescues Dromerdeene and, in a display of gratitude, bestows upon the grey bird unique attributes including bright black eyes, a fan of feathers, and a beautiful blue crown that symbolises courage and freedom.

    Tuka Marri

Perched high among the flowering gums, the white-feathered cockatoo watches quietly over Country. With his yellow crest lifted like a crown and his sharp eyes tracing the curves of the land, he is still, but never silent. He carries with him the old stories, held in feather and bone, in song and screech.

Below him, the banksias bloom in bursts of ochre and rust. The hills stretch out in gentle folds, rich with memory and spirit. The earth wears its colours proudly deep, warm, and ancient.

The cockatoo does not need to speak. His presence is enough. He is a watcher, a messenger, a reminder. Of resilience. Of connection. Of strength rooted like the marri trees that hold him.

This is Tuka Marri where wisdom perches in the canopy, and the land breathes beneath it.

    Whispers Through The Bottle Brush

This artwork tells the story of a quiet morning on Country, where the hills rise gently beneath a canopy of flowering gums and bottlebrush. The air is alive with the songs of little blue wrens, messengers of joy and presence darting between blossoms, whispering old stories through the rustling leaves.

Each hill holds memory. Each bloom, a mark of resilience. The wrens carry voices from the past and hopes for the future, weaving their flight through the native flora that has stood strong for generations. Beneath the trees, the land listens.

This is a place of stillness and strength, of colour and kinship. A place where stories aren’t always spoken but are felt, in the shape of the hills, the burst of red in the bottlebrush, and the beat of tiny wings.

    Laughter Among the Blooms

“Laughter Among the Blooms” celebrates the joy, healing, and deep connection that lives in Country. Bursting with native flora and layered textures, this piece captures a moment of stillness where sunlight filters through leaves, and a kookaburra watches over from the trees, its iconic laughter echoing across the landscape.

Each bloom represents renewal, each dot a memory, and each golden beam a reminder that joy is found not just in grand journeys, but in quiet moments among nature’s gifts. This artwork is a tribute to the resilience of land, culture, and spirit, where laughter thrives and beauty grows.
