ARTIST & ARTWORK

Domica Hill

Pakana woman Domica Hill is a contemporary Aboriginal artist infusing traditional elements with modern colour palettes and patterns. She has a passion for native flora and Fauna inspired by the loss of her daughter Briar Primrose as well as bringing connection to her ancestors.

Her creations often captivate a blend of contemporary and vibrant work while still paying homage to tradition with symbolism. Each artwork serves as a testament to the enduring spirit of her people and their inseparable connection to the land they inhabit.

Laughter Among the Blooms

“Laughter Among the Blooms” celebrates the joy, healing, and deep connection that lives in Country. Bursting with native flora and layered textures, this piece captures a moment of stillness where sunlight filters through leaves, and a kookaburra watches over from the trees, its iconic laughter echoing across the landscape.

Each bloom represents renewal, each dot a memory, and each golden beam a reminder that joy is found not just in grand journeys, but in quiet moments among nature’s gifts. This artwork is a tribute to the resilience of land, culture, and spirit, where laughter thrives and beauty grows.
