All Our Country Design Stories

This collection features artwork by five talented artists, sharing stories and traditions passed down through generations. Each design reflects the rich landscapes, vibrant colour, and cultural heritage of Western Australia, bringing the spirit of the land into your festive seasons.

Pilbarra Creeks

This piece depicts how rain transforms the landscape, filling creeks and attracting wildlife. Family fishing trips along these creeks are cherished, involving cooking, bonding, and appreciating the environment. Sandy finds inspiration in the blending colours of the creeks and river sand. She likes to enjoy the natural beauty of the place and smell the sea.

Morning Mist

The wildflowers of my Country bloom in their own time and season. The flowers grow amongst the spinifex grasses and carpet the ground in many colours. They are watered by heavy rains and the early morning mist. The colours in this painting represent the Sturt Desert Pea, the Mulla Mulla flowers, the wattle, and the blue gum flowers.

Wildflowers in Bloom

The creeks wind their way through the Country and the trees grow tall and strong next to the water. They put down deep roots to survive in the dry season. When the rains come and the creeks are full the wildflowers bloom and the land is covered in flowers. It's like a garden that we don't have to water.

Dry Waterholes

These are the waterholes of my Country. Even when they are dry there is still beauty. The rich red earth contrasts with the blue water. When seasons change the waterholes are replenished and we enjoy the Country with our families.

Pools of Many

There are many beautiful pools in Australia. These pools are places of dreamtime stories told by our old people. The healing waters run through my Country. We see our living country in our minds and feel it in our hearts. Our old people lived on the land and learned from their parents, and today these stories are told by the next generation, which is us. I tell these stories through my art.

Our Country

Our Country has so much to offer. Bush foods and medicine, as well as animals like the kangaroo, emu, goanna, and turkey. When the rains come, our rivers are full, and we all love to go out and spend the day enjoying the riches of our country. We are connected to our land. It is a part of who we are.
